There is no cliff hanger .. this is a complete story. Storyline is somewhat predictable .. but still engaging. The characters are well-drawn. And the ending will have you raising your eyebrows. This is a quick, easy read that keeps you riveted until the very end.

I liked it but was a bit disappointed in the way it ended. It felt abrupt. I would have liked it to have been a little more involved. I am anxious to read the Perfect Stranger to see if it makes this one a little better
Was okay. Bought second book that goes with it and it was boring and I could not even get to half of the book.
Will have to rethink this Author and that because I have bought and read everything she ever wrote.
Honestly anything by Wendy Corsi Staub is a good read. She works for her fan base...This was a short novella betwen her normal books. I do not know many authors who would do that to satisfy their fans. Wendy is A1 in my book.
This is a short novella which is a prelude to her new book "The Perfect Stranger" which will be released this summer. Another great suspense book by Wendy which sets the plot and characters for her next book. A great read! Highly recommend!
I have read her books since she first started, and she's improved, although not much was needed. I gave up trying to "guess", and just relaxed and enjoyed it. She writes with class, never insulting to her readers. Very good.
Wendy always delivers a great read. I get lost in her pages of twists and turns and I continue to read as many hours as it takes to finish each book. Thank God for kindle fire..it reads to me when my eyes get tired...I cannot put her books down!!!!
It's the mark of a great writer when they can create such complex characters even in a short novella. Cold-Hearted is the prequel novella to The Perfect Stranger by Wendy Corsi Staub. It's short but it is suspenseful, well-written and has a surprising ending. It will definitely make you want to read the next book. Highly recommended.
